The 2nd edition of Flower Logistics Africa and the inaugural Perishable Logistics Africa conferences are set to take place from November 22 – 23 in Nairobi, discussing trends and issues in the end-to-end logistics for flower, vegetable, fresh fruit and meat markets.
The event aims to enhance collaboration between growers and other stakeholders in the supply chain and is expected to attract farmers, policy makers, airports, airlines, freight forwarders and handlers and packaging companies.
The event is sponsored by Saudia Cargo, Holland Flower Alliance and Kenya Airways Cargo amongst several others.
Speakers will include Wilco Santbulte (Direct Cargo Development, KLM Cargo), Jane Ngige (CEO, Kenya Flower Council), Conrad Archer (Managing Director, Panalpina Airflo), Peter Musola (Cargo Commercial Manager, Kenya Airways Cargo) and Jack Mwaura (Head of Commercial, Siginon Group).
Organised by Logistics Update Africa, the event was postponed from early October following the presidential re-election.
