The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) today launched the seventh edition of its annual travel exposition, the Magical Travel Kenya Expo, to be held between 3rd and 5th October 2017 at the K.I.C.C. The expo brings together multiple stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industries including tour operators, travel operators, hotels, camps, national parks & wildlife conservancies.
Speaking at the launch, KTB CEO Ms Betty Radier said this year, the expo will target 150 exhibitors up from 137 in 2016. Focus will also be given to domestic travel, encouraging citizens to boost consumption of local tourism products. The Board has further engaged On Show Solutions, a South African exhibitions management company to assist in managing the event.
The launch comes just weeks before travel traders from the USA under the umbrella of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) are due to visit the country to sample the local tourism products during the upcoming ASTA Destination Expo.
